We have launched a secondary Signal proxy using an IP not in the same subnet as our Tor relays
Please feel free to share this with anyone who wants a single-hop proxy to send and receive Signal messages
https://signal.tube/#ghostprotocol.net
In addition to possibly allowing censored Signal users to continue using Signal in an internet censored region, using a Signal proxy will also protect a user from disclosing any network metadata to or from *.signal.org domains to spying network admins or ISPs.
fwiw, this #SignalProxy is hosted in our FMT2 datacenter in California. it has a ~1ms ping to chat.signal.org and a traceroute shows it goes over the https://sfmix.org IXP directly to Amazon via our upstream, HE
so traffic proxied through ghostprotocol.net gets terminated to Signal with very minimal hops
