#Debirdify is now running on the new server, with an average of 1000 interactions (i.e. follower searches etc.) and 600 MB of traffic per hour.
The server is currently handling this load with ease, so hopefully we will be better prepared for the next popularity spike.
@debirdify @profcarroll Thank you for making this migration easier for us!
@debirdify Thank you for this!!! Made the jump easier.
@debirdify It's been an immensely useful tool!
@debirdify I am very happy to wait for the help you've provided making this migration faster. I was able to download and upload very easily and after that it's been a few days. Totally understand processing takes time, but does that sound like I maybe didn't do something correctly?
@FrequentlyAskedQuestions The processing of uploaded lists has nothing to do with #debirdify – that's between you and your Mastodon server and I don't know anything about how that works internally.
But I did hear some people mention that this is done by some low-priority background task, and that that's why on some servers it takes a very long time (several days).
You can try contacting the admins of your server (i.e. instance) to find out more.
