An mistake. The worst kind of prop strike. This happened almost ten years ago in . My photos, but not my aircraft.

I'm surprised they are bent towards the front, would have expected them to be bent opposite the direction of movement, i.e., back.

@neverpanic yes, nosegear and engine mounts were both irreparably damaged. But the bending direction of the prop is what you would expect with engine running at high power and low aircraft speed. In fact, the aircraft was stationary during the incident.

@neverpanic to be more precise, the nose gear collapse was not the initiating event, but all damage was caused by pilot stupidity: the nose wheel got stuck at a step from grass onto a concrete surface. Instead of trying to figure out what went wrong, the pilot increased power, which caused the nose to be pulled down, and eventually the nosegear to collapse, taking the engine mounts with it, and the prop to hit the concrete.
