I don’t like #baseball very much this evening. Yaz is gone to Kansas City. I understand it; I just don’t like it. He’s 34, his offensive production is slightly below average, and he is eligible for free agency after the season. Solid fundamental player. He was one of my favorite #SFGiants. #mlb

I am not a huge fan of American team sports, but when it comes to #baseball and #football, the only teams I have ever cared to follow are National League and National Football Conference teams—#Phillies, #Mets, #Eagles, #Seahawks. No more room for other teams.

So, it has always been annoying to me that whenever I want to check the season standings, websites and apps always default to American League and American Football Conference, forcing me to do extra work to see the teams I want to see.

Why does the ball curve?

As per Bernoulli's principle, the ball is going to curve towards the side on which air has an easier time passing by. It depends how one places fingers on the stitches of the ball when throwing it.

NB: The same principle applies to airplane wings for a different effect (lifting up).

I miss playing Wiffle Ball (look it up). You didn’t need much of a field, and you could throw all kinds of pitches to the batter with that perforated ball. We played a lot in my backyard, until I broke a window… twice.

The second time I had to pay for it out of my allowance, which took many weeks. My parents introducing me to the concept of fiduciary responsibility. ⚾😉
