Sunny evening garden — purple salvia, pink dianthus, orange poppies, and raspberry cream columbine/aquilegia.

Several spikes of salvia with tiny, deep purple flowers blooming on their stems alongside their deep green, spear-shaped leaves, with green grass and other greenery in the background, all illuminated by the dappled, golden evening sun.

- looking east from my yard toward my house this afternoon; I believe this is called the Night Owl Rose

- looking west from my door an hour later, toward the setting sun

the front of a log cabin, on which is growing a large rose bush, with a great many rose flower blossoms, and a patch of buttercups on the ground beneath them

Another favorite flower! Cascade penstemons (P. serrulatus) are growing in the Maple Leaf Park restoration area.

A tall spike of blue, tubular flowers with five short upturned petals at the end stands above a patch of ovate dentate opposite bright green leaves ( try saying that without stumbling!) There are a few more spikes in the background. In about a week, this will be in full bloom, and the bumblebees will be delighted. I have seen bumblebees rip penstemon flowers open to get at the nectar. It must be choice stuff.

Die Flockenblume hat sich in meinem Wissen, als Kornblume festgebissen. Welch Namen wir diesem zerzaustem Wesen auch gegeben haben, das werd ich noch ergründen. Solange wächst Sie wild, mal hier mal da und bläut mir ein, Ich bin noch da!

Lila dünn blättrige Blüte. die Blütenblätter sind nach unten gerichtet. Im spitzen Winkel wachsen ihre grünen Blätter versetzt nach oben. im Hintergrund noch eine Blüte, Rasen und rechts ein hellbrauner Hund.

Die Heckenrose mit Ihrer zarten Blüten Pracht, in der Nase möge Sie doch nie verblassen. Schnell erwächst das schmachten - jauchzend mit Ihr mit zu lachen.
