I can't find my OBD2 car diagnostics device. It was only a cheap one from Aldi or Lidl.
I don't know if I have lost it, lent it, or given it away.

So I took Bugsy to KwikFit and asked them to run a diagnostic to see why the engine fault light was on, despite the car computer saying there were no faults.

The report showed 15 different faults! Some of them really major including brakes and steering, as well as serious engine problems.
Now, one of them was the tyre pressure sensor. I know that works.
One of the others was Voltage Low.🤔

Our old Scout did a mad 'Everything is wrong' and all the fault lights were on quite randomly. A diagnostic showed about 28 faults.
Turned out to be a dying battery. Everything was fine after a charge, but then it went wrong again, so maybe the alternator?
I got a new battery, £200+, and it was all fine again.

I put Bugsy on charge this afternoon, battery went from 55% to 95% in a couple of hours.

I suspect I Bugsy just needs a new battery.

Sadly, my parents have to replace their #car

What are the least bad options on the market for aging drivers? Are there any vehicles available in the US that...

1. Have knobs and buttons instead of #touchscreen-only controls?

2. Do not pretend to be "self-driving"?

3. Are not SUVs?

4. Cost less than $40k? (preferably far less)

Thanks in advance!
