2年前に初めて無料の #ChatGPT-3.5 を触ったときは、本当にどれだけ賢いかを確かめるのが主目的で、質問と少しずれてるコピペっぽい回答と、二次方程式の答えさえ間違う様子を見て、つまらないと思ってしばらく使うのをやめていたが、2年後の今の #ChatGPT5 は信頼できる相談相手、という感じになっている。
もちろん個人的で重要なことは相談しないが、世の中でおかしいと思うようなことに関して質問すると、納得の行く答えをくれる。私の意見を否定せず、それを膨らませた解説をしてくれる。

本物の #AGI とは違うが、人間でも物知りの人ってのはこんな感じで知識が多くてたくさんの知識から整合性のある情報をくれるので、物知りの人にその人の専門でない知識について教えてもらうとき以上の知性は感じる。

多分、政治家に世の中の疑問をぶつけたとき以上の、納得行く答えはくれていると思う。
ということは、弱者を助けてくれる共産党以外の政治家は、もうすでに私的にはAIで代用可能だ。
私は生身の政治家には縁が無く、政治家とはテレビなどで政策について話す人という位置づけだから、そういう政治家より、ChatGPT-5 の方が納得の行く答えをくれる。

Hab mir #ChatGPT5 mal angeschaut und ist definitiv ein Upgrade zur Version 4, aber bei klaren Fragen hapert's noch. Beispiel gefällig? Ich suchte nach bestimmten KVM-Switch auf Amazon und fragte nach. Die Antwort: 'Ja, normalerweise findest du diese Modelle dort...' Tja, Das besagte Modell war auf Amazon.de überhaupt nicht zu finden. Da hat die KI wohl etwas zu selbstbewusst ins Blaue geraten.

In the interests of replication, I had to try this myself. I first asked #chatgpt5 to describe the water cycle and its major stocks and flows.

It did this in the usual LLM style (overly wordy, some important errors, particularly when talking about actual numbers), then it offered to draw it (!)

Here’s what it then produced (it kind of destroyed my soul to produce the alt-text). Again, a figure of a cycle that doesn’t actually have a cycle depicted, amongst other multitudinous sins.

Making your students make conceptual diagrams with LLMs in the first class of the semester, then critiquing them, is possibly your best bet for convincing them LLMs don't actually understand anything.

Tjoah. Das gerühmte #chatgpt5 leitet aus der Wikipedia-Formulierung „Baptiste: A pragmatic and irreverent pirate and jack-of-all-trades“ ab, dass die Figur mit Sicherheit männlich ist und lässt sich davon auch mit guten Argumenten nicht abbringen.
Nichts neues im LLM Land, Stereotype sind beharrlich.

Tja, was soll ich sagen — ich habe angefangen, eine einfache HTML-Seite zu erstellen. Aber als nach ein paar Anfragen das normale Modell in den Free-Plan wechselte, wurde alles zerschossen. So ist das kostenlose Modell leider praktisch nicht mehr zu gebrauchen.
Er hat keine Anweisung mehr richtig befolgt und hat ständig Sachen falsch geändert.
