I'm here with the European Civic Forum to launch a major report on civic freedoms and join a debate with policymakers, activists and MEPs on what real protection for civil society could look like — including early warning systems, new legal shields, and solidarity hubs.
I want to bring your voice into the room.

* An vielen anderen Stellen gibt es Pläne, Freiraum zu beschränken, etwa Umweltklagerechte abbauen.
* Zu #zivilgesellschaft|lichen Organisationen gibt es Kontrollwünsche aus AG 1.
Nochmal was aufgeschrieben zur Antwort der Bundesregierung auf #551Fragen (plus 18 plus 1) und was daraus für #Koalitionsverhandlungen und Reform #Gemeinnützigkeitsrecht daraus folgt. #CivicSpace

Fast täglich kommen Attacken aus #CDU-#CSU-Kreisen oder aus schlecht recherchierenden Redaktionen auf #gemeinnützig|e Organisationen, weil diese sich als #Wächter von #Demokratie und #Rechtsstaatlichkeit einmischen und konkrete Politik kritisieren. Aus dem Wahlkampftunnel heraus wird wird das parteipolitisch einsortiert, obwohl es nicht daher kommt. In ihrem Bayern-Wahlprogramm polarisiert die CSU zwischen #Ehrenamt und "linker Ideologie".
Ein Freund-Feind-Denken, Tritte gegens Schienbein statt Argumente anhören, genau das ist Gegenstand der Kritik. Ich komme gar nicht mehr dazu, die Berichte, Statements und Falschaussagen zu sortieren. Aber heute war es einfach zu viel. Statement #AllianzRechtssicherheit

Eine Amtsrichterin hat mich verurteilt, weil ich irgendwo auf öffentlichen Straßen für politische Maßnahmen in #Klimakrise demonstriert habe und dort beliebige Staatsbürger:innen in Autos genötigt hätte. "Demonstriert doch bei den Parteien" - will CDU-Chef #Merz aber auch nicht. #CivicSpace

Bereits Mitte der Woche erklärte #Merz, die Opposition demonstriere vor der #CDU-Parteizentrale. Doch es sind Bürger:innen (also Teile der "Bevölkerung") die Sorge um Demokratie und Rechtsstaatlichkeit haben. Sicher eher nicht Stammwähler:innen von #CDU und #CSU, vielleicht eher Wähler:innen von SPD, Linkspartei, Grünen;aber nicht deren Vertreter:innen. Es ist #zivilgesellschaft|licher Protest, keine Parteipolitik.
Wenn die #Union verstehen würden, dass politisches Engagement nicht nur in Parteien stattfindet und nicht nur auf Stimmenvorteile für eine Partei gerichtet ist, wäre das schon ein Fortschritt.
