But whether the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) can defeat the demonic forces seems doubtful: on 24 February, Musk tweeted, 'The deep state is everywhere.' This is a way of thinking about government that owes more to The Matrix than it does to reasonable complaints about overreach, overspending or overly dominant orthodoxy.
