This Account Kills Fascists

I had ChatGPT make me a plaid pattern of the paint colors I'm using in the basement.

The cream is Farrow and Ball's White Tie. The dark blue is their Hague Blue, and the lighter blue is Sherwin Williams' Tidewater.

Walls are the cream, one wall is the light blue, and the floor in the bathroom down there will be the darker blue.

White Tie and Hague Blue are used throughout the house.

Right now the basement is a color I call BABYVOMIT.

@jack_daniel i like and approve of that appalachian work ethic - you should get a few batteries and some solar, add some older laptops, do a lights out tabletop drinking exercise a few times
think about even adding an alternator to a helical wind turbine - it may only make 50 watts or something on average but that keeps laptop servers running - you need the mix and redundancy #nec #relay #arduino #home assistant #poe #radio #osint #arroyo cluster

A few weeks back we found a bonded pair of #senior #dachshund dogs that needed a #home. We put in an application with the #rescue but the dogs were homed somewhere else (and I'm glad they found a good home!)

Fast forward to this morning - the wife gets a call from the same rescue needing an emergency #foster for two girl #Dachshunds ages 7 and 8. Someone dropped them off TO BE EUTHANIZED because (from what we can tell) they've got mange mites. This is something that can be taken care of with shampoo and medication...

Apparently they've got a history of back issues, too, but what dachshund doesn't?

So the Animal Control where they were dropped off decided to stop the euthanasia before the lethal dose was given, and called the rescue to see if these girls could be fostered.

It's in the works, now.. The dogs will be transported to a vet more local to us, and we'll pick them up from there and make sure they've got a good home until they can be adopted.

I want to slap the person who dumped them TO BE PUT DOWN because they have mange... but I know I'll never get that chance.

My opinion of the Human race hasn't changed: People suck.
