This is a beautifully dreamy slice of #indiepop from #vancouver area artist Jamison.
I’ve seen a handful of some of his other records around before, but never bothered to check any of them out.
I hear a little Sam Prekop and The Sea And Cake in here; this album would have fit right in to the Thrill Jockey roster.
Lovely, airy melodies and exquisite production.
I’m digging this a LOT.

This particular pressing of this fantastic album needed quite the amount of effort to sound good.

First off, it was absolutely filthy coming out of the package.
Dust galore, paper bits, streaks across both records. Some of the worst quality control ever.
After wiping it down with a Norwex cloth, it didn’t sound very good.
So, I gave it a sonic clean, and now, it’s at least presentable, but still not the quality this album deserves.

All that aside, I have always adored the early Modest Mouse records, and this pressing is worth having until I can find a better sounding one.
