While the attacks against #Iran are quite dangerous since #Israel isn't fighting some poor terrorists who use homemade rockets but a big nation with serious military forces and a proper arms industry, if they cause any serious damage to Iran's nuclear programme, that might be a good thing in the end. However, this is just another case of the eternal fight of Evil against Evil, with the good guys getting crushed in the middle. Iran is a horrible abomination of a state, a Theocracy that kills people for being sinners, heretics, and blasphemers, while Israel is the Jewish dream of returning to the home of their ancestors and building a safe haven for all those fleeing antisemitic violence gone wrong because it has been captured by fascists and religious extremists. Just like in the Israel-Palestine conflict, I can't take any side in this conflict, either, both of which of course are closely related.
It's all horrible, Hamas is a bunch of murderers, Netanyahu's government is a bunch of murderers, and the Iranian mullah regime, er, Islamic Republic, is also a bunch of murderers.

If the Israeli left manages to end Bibi's murderous regime and all those religious nutters, Israel might still turn into a halfway decent place, but only if they are serious about a Two-State Solution, get all those settlers out of the West Bank, and give all the houses they built in the West Bank to Palestinian families who lost their homes for free. Both sides will have to accept that they can only have part of the land and not all of it. Palestine OTOH won't ever become a decent place unless they get rid of Hamas and all the other Islamist religious nutters. The same goes for Iran, and they also need autonomy for their ethnic minorities like the Kurds for example.

I find it quite astonishing how many people are willing to put all their support behind one of these parties even though they're all ruled by madmen and murderers. I don't think any nation-state has any reason to exist whatsoever, and religions are something people take far too seriously. Murdering people just because they are the ancient enemy your people have always fought against is just madness in the shape of tradition. I know because I'm German, and the Germans didn't suddenly start hating and murdering Jews because of the Nazis, hating and murdering Jews is an ancient German tradition that was already hundreds of years old when Martin Luther wrote "Von den Jüden und ihren Lügen" ("About the Jews and Their Lies"). Unfortunately, the Federal Republic of Germany has decided to always take the side of the Israeli government no matter what, instead of taking the side of the Jews even if they are not one single monolithic entity.

Hamas are getting exactly what they want out of this -- Israel is becoming a pariah state, only rogue states like Trump's American Reich and loser states like Germany still want to be their allies. Meanwhile, antisemitism explodes globally, Jews are under threat in more and more places outside of Israel, especially since so many people won't understand that Israel doesn't speak or act for all the Jews in the world, despite their propaganda, but then again, very much of it is just plain old antisemitism that just needed a spark to ignite it. Just look at those dirty Jews murdering children again, yeah right, it's that old trope again. The fact that there are Israeli Jews inside of Israel trying to stop the madness and end the eternal war between Israel and Palestine is mostly ignored by the rest of the world. The fact that many Israelis don't like living under Bibi's regime is also ignored.

It's all a horrible mess without any clear solutions. However, nobody should be exporting any weapons whatsoever to Israel unless they stop their fucking genocide in Gaza. Nobody should support any "freedom fighters" who are just terrorists, murderers, and religious fundamentalists. Nobody should support any regime just because they are the enemy of one's enemy. And everyone just needs to stop following orders and disobey. Obedience is how the world turns to shit.
