Eine #opensource Alternative zu #Obsidian wäre großartig. Leider habe ich da bisher nichts gefunden und auch #Logseq ist hier nicht die Lösung, da die App für Android nicht wirklich zuverlässig ist.

It took me a couple of days but I think I have a better grip on #DataLog now compared to https://petrous.vislae.town/@Binder/115022538164433122
Sufficient for #LogSeq usage, perhaps.
That's MacOS fault because on MacOS they use ~/.name for config and other data, while on Linux the XDG spec allow the user to specify a set of folders, that by default are generally ~/.config, ~/.local etc.
People used to MacOS (like #Logseq devs) simply use the same folder on all platforms, sometimes mentioning consistency across them. As a Linux user I totally disagree.
The one thing I don't like about #Logseq so far is it creates a ~/.logseq dir, so now I can no longer tab complete ~/.local with just the first two letters! Serious usability downgrade

...Just curious...
Anyone using #logseq ?
Here are some details of the new #logseq DB variant (currently in alpha):
https://discuss.logseq.com/t/logseq-db-unofficial-faq/32508
TL;DR:
- you can't edit the #Markdown files directly
- #orgdown support is lost
- EDN export is introduced besides MD export
- sync and RTC require a subscription
- practically, you can't run the sync on your own
- #Zotero no longer part of the core app
If this holds true, I can't endorse use of logseq any more.
I need to migrate other people's setups I was maintaining to a different solution. Too bad as it was the only good #PIM tool option I could find outside #Emacs #orgmode.

ok so it seems like they are transitioning to some new system, while also somehow keeping the old one (?)
#logseq has a lot of open issues, most of them don't seem to get resolved. On Android, I can only use backspace to delete blocks if I use GBoard or Samsung Keboard - no FOSS keyboard :((
And I've read some things about data loss and privacy issues when using the "publish" feature.
I think I'll try something else. Any suggestions? I'm considering #joplin , #appflowy , #siyuan , #beavernotes , #zettlr
I'm gonna give #logseq another try.
Will report back, some time
I've just literally recreated #Logseq journal endless page in #Emacs thanks to Denote and dblocks!
With the bullet #journaling method included! (Each new entry inside a day's note is a heading with just the current time).
I've been looking for a way to achieve this in a long time. Actually if I didn't bother with Org-roam and went with Denote right away it would have been so much better.
The fact that Denote is basically just extra functions on top of org-mode is a great paradigm.
My personal public knowledge base managed by #logseq is now online and you can explore it from my website.
KLAXXON! #SOURCE issue 2 is now available for download! In case you don't know what I am on about SOURCE is my attempt at an #opensource "pay what you feel" magazine. In this issue we look at #Godot, #Inkscape, #OpenStreetMap #Logseq #Termux and #Syncthing
There's a little more info and a direct to pdf link on my blog as well as links to Issue 1 which was a deep dive on Computational Fluid Dynamics with #FreeCAD.

Please Boost!
Can I have #logseq but with a working mobile app that's not an afterthought?
@chriscochrun #logseq if you don’t wanna think or hesitate when writing something down.
#obsidian if you wanna choose a category each time.
