Every CanadaColonizers day, for several years now, we don't celebrate any past or present corporate colonial government exploitation/oppression. We dedicate the day to feeding & helping the vulnerable & marginalized folks that colonizers want to sweep under rugs & rid the streets of - so they can have their colonial celebrations while many in our shared communities are houseless & hungry. We spend some time with Indigenous elder friends. We check in on fellow BIPOC diaspora friends.

Canada can & should do more/better for its most marginalized citizens. Our sellout politicians choose to keep feeding the super rich capitalist jerks who greenwash more than they change underwear, bow down to fascists, are whitewashing liars on BIPOC issues & who are fucking over average citizens & smiling about it on TV.

So my local area has its first pride coming up. Slay? Not really. It’s extremely white looking at all the leaflets, no mention of trans people or anything. Just typical corporate captured pride.

Gets worse too… this pride is sponsored by a European bank that’s given loans of billions towards sending weapons to Israel.

Any advice on how to lobby them to drop this bank as a sponsor? #pride #NoPrideInGenocide #LGBT #FreePalestine

No pride in genocide: Boycott Eurovision 2025

"Last year’s boycott included thousands of artists and hundreds of queer and trans organizations calling for apartheid Israel’s exclusion from Eurovision. In host city Malmö, 30+ artists, venues and organisations withdrew from Eurovision Week, including Malmö Pride. Throughout Europe, many journalists, presenters and others refused to work with Eurovision, and many screening parties were cancelled. With continued, intensifying pressure, we know we can push the EBU to expel Israel from Eurovision so that the competition can finally stand for the values it claims to uphold.

As queer collectives from Palestine and around the world, we refuse to have our identities instrumentalized by the settler-colonial apartheid regime of Israel."
