Begasus<p>Haiku(ports) ships KDE frameworks 6.16.0, this is a major update to the 6.13.0 version and should keep us going for a while, the next update will probably happen around the end of the year. This puts us in place and ready when gear 25.08 will be released.</p><p>In the meantime keeping track with kde-builder to spot build errors fast enough to push patches upstream. Marcos Dione<p>I wrote a program to import, thresh and bin photos into folders. It's currently 1628 lines, including comments and empty lines. These are 4 byte Unicode symbols, and turned out to be very tricky to handle. 😅</p><p>The app is built with Python, which will switch a string to UCS-4 when it contains such characters, so the characters always have a single index in the string.</p><p>However, the Qt library uses UTF-16. The layout and theme can be changed to taste, but this gives you a IBM Model M themed on-screen keyboard with a standard US layout.</p><p>KDE Plasma works too under X11 with Onboard, you can tweak that for touch-screen usage but I find there's an annoying stylus offset with <a href="https://mastodon.longlandclan.id.au/tags/Qt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Qt</span></a> applications (seems to get worse with suspend/resume).</p>
