@realsimon – Has anyone tried #QualCoder? It is billed as a open alternative to #MaxQDA and runs on both #Windows and #Linux. See here: github.com/ccbogel/QualCoder/w

I'd be curious to hear how people like it. Not into qualitative analysis myself (except for the occasional #TEI encoding), but people around me encounter similar issues with #MaxQDA.

Amazing morning, just learned I can intensify my engagement with the #qdas #qualitative #data #analysis software #QualCoder via a direct chat with its developer this week to solve some frictions.

On that note, I look so much forward to seeing how my students @KAEEGoetheUni will engage with, make use of, this software over the next months.

I like it because it is #OpenSource, #free, and available across various platforms.

- #RQDA, an #RStats package which was unfortunately kicked out of CRAN a while ago, so hard to install. Seems to depend on one person.
- #Taguette, lovely browser-based tool, actively developed.
- #Qualcoder, promising Python-based tool, actively developed but installation barrier too high for now.
- #CATMA, browser-based as well, with more features than others, but I found the interface hard to grasp. Has institutional backing.

Do you know of other notable Open Source QDA tools?
