I've written about the way that #ICE Watch has run ICE out of the immigration courts in my city, so ICE switched tactics to bullcrap letters to try to force immigrants to come to their field office. Now we warn the community and we picket over at that office, which is preventing lots of kidnappings.

Here's what's going on in #SanDiego. It's similar: ICE runs like cockroaches from any hint of even the most harmless people holding them accountable.

These letters send people to the ICE office for "reprocessing". Once at the ICE check-in office, clients are given a choice: get fitted for an ankle monitor or be detained. Some people are able to get wrist monitors if they are available. Clients are either told they can get it removed at their next court date or in 4-8 weeks. An ankle monitor only further stigmatizes, humiliates, and segregate undocumented people who are being punished for trying to do it "the right way". History has already started to repeat itself. Please help stop it now before it's too late.
