Black and white print in portrait orientation, showing an old pension in Amsterdam. Written on the wall is the name, "Pension De Drie Pardjes".
The house is very narrow, with two levels. Nearby buildings are reflected in the first floor windows, showing some distortions. A man and a white horses head are dimly visible through one window. Three sculptures of three white horses heads jut from the brick wall between the windows. A thin old man with a white beard is standing before the wooden entrance door. His eyes are closed, his hands shoved into a light grey winter coat. He is standing between the door and two tall windows with long curtains.
