#Ukraine’s Defense Industry: From Battlefield to #Economic Engine

The Ukrainian defense sector is not only defending the country—it’s driving its economy.

🔹 In just three years, Ukraine’s defense production surged from $1 billion to $35 billion.
🔹 In 2024 alone, defense industry enterprises accounted for one-third of total GDP growth.
🔹 Priorities now include mass production of interceptor drones, strike #UAVs, and ballistic/cruise missiles.

#Russia's entire strategy to prevent western sanctions from being applied is the planning of fictitious meetings and proposals, while simultaneously scaling up their invasion of #Ukraine and the massacre of Ukraine's civilian population.

For good measure, here Lavrov inserts the narrative that there is #repression in Ukraine, as a back door to setting the precedent that #Moscow should be allowed to write #laws there.

@noelreports More delay tactics to keep Trump from agreeing to tougher sanctions. He'll predictably say, again: "Russia wants negotiations, and Zelenskyy is the obstacle to peace, because he's saying bad things about Russia."

That narrative has even captured some on the left wing of the German Social Democrats (SPD), who think that removing restrictions on the use of Western weapons is a wrong signal now that "diplomacy has picked up again." He's probably talking about the symbolic diplomacy of Russia sending hundreds of drones into Ukraine to kill civilians for several nights in a row.
