I'm trying to get into the spirit of "remember when we used to post things just to post things" and share that I made this preserved lemon shortbread.

It's fine. I'll keep working on it.

This is my favorite tea cup, though.

A handle-less teacup that is half-glazed and half-matte in a copper brown color. It sits on a similarly two-toned wooden coaster with a few bars of standard-looking shortbread.

Time for a hot cross bun and a mug of tea in my new favourite mug.

A cozy scene, of a mid-morning classic Easter treat. In the foreground, a fresh hot cross bun sits on a round, white plate decorated with delicate floral patterns. The bun has a golden-brown crust and the characteristic cross marking on top, with visible fruit and a smear of butter on the cut side.

Behind the plate, slightly to the right, is a mug filled with tea. The mug is quite distinctive, featuring a charming picture of a grey tabby cat named Captain Jack. Jack appears to be upside down lying on his back, looking up with a slightly quizzical expression. The name "Captain Jack" is just visible on the mug.

Tea in the tent
I asked for this tea set for my birthday so I could easily have tea outdoors. It's working well.

The water temperature is very approximate so I brought along teas that can deal with a varying temperature. I need a small thermometer next.

I'm feeling a little dorky but I'm ok with that

Yesterday a pal said I may like chamomile added to my lavender/peppermint mix for #teatime. While I made it I sang a made-up song, cuz I'm goofy like that, it went like this, "ohhh I'ma gonna have a special tea, a special tea, a special tea, a special tea just for me" & as I was singing it, it started sounding like, "oh I'ma gonna have a specialty, a specialty, a specialty, a specialty just for me" it made me giggle & it was yum #TeaTimeVibes
