OFFICIAL STATEMENT ISSUED BY THE SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC ABOUT THE TERRORIST ATTACK THAT TARGETED THE ST. ELIAS CHURCH IN DAMASCUS:
Damascus, June 22, 2025 – The Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the terrorist attack that targeted the St. Elias Church in the Al-Duwailaa neighborhood of Damascus.
The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber affiliated with ISIS, according to preliminary investigations, and resulted in a number of civilian casualties and injuries among innocent worshippers.
This criminal act, which targeted members of the Christian community, is a desperate attempt to undermine national unity, destabilize the country, and a response by terrorists to Syria’s continued achievements under the leadership of the Syrian state and government.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasizes that this attack is not merely an assault on one sect, but an attack on the entirety of Syrian national identity. Syria holds the entities supporting ISIS fully responsible for this crime.
Syria renews its call to the international community and the UN Security Council to condemn this attack and to support the Syrian state’s efforts in combating terrorism and restoring security and stability.
The Syrian Arab Republic extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured. It affirms that this heinous crime will only increase the unity and determination of the Syrian people to build a secure and united Syria.
Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC):
We condemn the repeated Israeli attacks on the journalists' camp located near the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military operations in southern and central Khan Yunis resulted in the flying of bullets and rocket shrapnel towards journalists' tents, forcing a large number of them to leave the camp under dangerous conditions.
The camp includes 38 media tents, serving approximately 280 journalists, most of whom reside around the medical complex to continue covering events on the ground.
The escalation of Israeli attacks has forced many media organizations to evacuate their sites, restricting the ability of journalists to carry out their duties and endangering their safety.
These violations constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which protects journalists as civilians during armed conflict and criminalizes the targeting of them or media infrastructure.

Medical Services in Gaza: Ambulances have completely stopped operating in Gaza City due to the occupation's continued ban on the entry of diesel.
Footage shows Israeli TV employees rushing to shelters as sirens sounded across the area this morning.
Sahar Ghanem, Director of the Laboratories Department at the Ministry of Health in Gaza:
● We warn of an imminent crisis in medical laboratory services and blood banks, due to the severe shortage of laboratory supplies and essential testing materials, in addition to the severe shortage of supplies currently being experienced by blood banks, in addition to a shortage in blood unit stocks.
● The percentage of laboratory testing materials with less than a month's supply reached 48.7%, while the percentage of laboratory consumables and supplies with less than a month's supply reached 48.2%.
● This sharp decline directly threatens the continuity of laboratory diagnostic and blood transfusion services, at a time when the Gaza Strip is facing a health disaster with the rising number of wounded and the deteriorating humanitarian situation.
● The occupation deliberately destroys laboratory equipment within health facilities, crippling the health system and medical personnel's ability to diagnose patients and the wounded. The destruction rate of hospital laboratories has reached approximately 50%, while the destruction rate of primary care laboratories has reached approximately 60%. 514 laboratory devices are out of service.
● We call on international and humanitarian agencies to take urgent action to provide the necessary support and ensure the continued operation of laboratories and blood banks, thus helping to preserve the minimum basic medical services for patients and the wounded in the Gaza Strip.

BREAKING: 6 Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces near the Israeli-American "aid" distribution center northwest of Rafah.
Second satellite images of Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility have been released.
Contrary to earlier claims, the entrances were not targeted.
The enrichment hall itself was directly struck.
Images reveal three impact points in two groups, but it’s unclear how deep the bombs penetrated or how much internal damage was caused.
In a worst-case scenario, penetration could reach around 33 meters, but to achieve full effectiveness at 80 meters, the same spot would need to be hit multiple times (3–6).
Analysts believe the main hall likely remains intact for now.
