Constantine's imperial march
Set the stage for hierarchical staunch,
And deadly force to poor human heads.
What once was loved, now is dead.
Legalized the Christian plea,
But pushed lording it over them, did he.

The Constantinian shift, named after this—
Because what once was servitude
Became masculine transmission
Of submission and obedience to be said:
"In this house, God reigns alone."

writes a long reply about anarchism

"post you are replying to does not exist"

well. okay.

here it is anyway

"i think youve gotten some misinformation on anarchism. it's not all communes and hugs. structure and scale are still a thing, theres just no money or state violence tied up in it.

the internet would still exist, printing would still exist, so would transit and trade and education and medicine and scale in general. but it's managed instead by those who care deeply about their craft networked across many communities. with no profit motive to drive artificial scarcity, distribution of goods is instead done by those who take personal pride in helping others with their interests and skills. with no state to take power over the creation and distribution, there is no forced labor or artificial trade restrictions.

this enables certification of experts to be more meaningful, as well. there is no legal nonsense banning doctors who do things the church isnt fond of; there would be "guilds" of a sort (i dont like that word) that would offer training and membership, certifying skills. for example one could be a doctor and post their credentials, saying "trained and certified by the Medical League of Greater Ontario" or something and patients are free to confirm that with the organization if the doc's personal reputation is insufficient.

and as for the "difficult or gross" jobs, well, society still needs sewage and construction and transit and farming. without profit motive and without the state enforcing monopolies on that economy, there is every incentive to make those jobs more bearable for the worker instead of more profitable for the owner. and many would do those jobs anyway, out of care for the community.

basically the answer to "doesnt anarchy forget X and fuck everything up?" is always no, we just dont believe it requires the mass deaths of monetary coercion and state violence to accomplish."

good morning, enjoy a crime cat.

#TheCrimeCats say every line, waiting room, commute, hold, probationary period, interview, selection process, form, certification, advertisement, is your time to live and exist and think and feel freely being taken from you on behalf of petty bureaucrats and authoritarians demanding obedience and access in exchange for your continued existence.
