Update: Gracie and Buzz at 6 months old. I am not sure if I can keep calling them #BabySharks since they don't chew our fingers as much anymore but they do love the sticks in the #Backyard. Battle Royales continue.

Now that they have had their shots, leash training coming soon.

Gracie is 4lbs and Buzz is 7lbs.

Two adorable small dogs, Yorkie mixes, are the charming subjects of this image. They are nestled comfortably in a pink and white polka-dotted pet bed, which appears to have a soft, plush lining with paw print designs.

We have a clematis “mound”.

This is the most crazy plant in our yard. It used to climb the whole height of the corner of the house, about 50ft. And then it REALLY got out of hand. It kind of died back a couple years ago but it is back at full force!

According to Wikipedia, it’s an ornamental plant, but toxic and invasive

This seems to be a good year for the #wisteria. This is a very old vine which had gotten completely out of control. Two years of careful pruning have now resulted in some attractive clusters. However, they seem to be about 2 weeks early, we usually enjoy them in mid-May. I hope it doesn't get too hot so they don't wilt as quickly. I love #spring #bloomscrolling #backyard

Earth Day Accomplishment
Here is our new Plum Tree. ("Early Italian Plum" variety)

I had actually forgot yesterday that it was Earth Day today. So while I was a little disappointed I didn't get this done yesterday, it turned into a nice memorable Earth Day addition.

Love planting trees. It's like planting hope every time. :)

It is mounded for now because that will be the height of the yard once I move more of PondPool Mountain around.

A small tree stands in the middle of a amount of fresh dirt. There is a wire fence with cedar railing behind it. There are a few other small shrubs and things growing along with fence line. Behind the fence is the neighbor's yard. It is all under Dura darkening blue sky.

A different angle shows the same tree in amount of dirt. You can see the path grassy towards the gate at the side of the house. Our neighbour house is visible in gray stucco.

Another step in the #backyard evolution. Old plum tree cut down on neighbour’s side. New plum (behind the ladder in 2nd pic) awaiting planting on our side.

A wedge is cut from one side of a gnarled trunk about 6in in diameter. There are a few living branches above with flowers. The blue sky is behind. Our pergola above the deck is visible as is the roof deck
