Crossgolf Deutschland1.FORE! CrossGolf-Trophy 2025 – BerichtEin Hafen in Flammen. Berenbusch. Bückeburg. Und die Elite der letzten zwei Jahrzehnte macht sich auf in den letzten Winkel Niedersachsens. Beinahe westfälische Provinz. Ein Turnier im Norden. Das Ziel: die Nationalmannschaft für die WM im Jahr 2026. Bis dato nur an der Peripherie und seltener Gast auf den Turnieren lädt erstmals Janek / GLFPNK im Namen der X-Golf-Brothers in diesen Industriehafen ein. Dazu gesellen sich Neugierige, die den Asphalt bis dato nur auf den Weg zur Golfanlage nutzen. Same Sport, different Game. Golf. Es ist angerichtet …… dass die minutiöse Planung, eines ambitionierten Alleingangs seine Tücken hat, zeigt sich bereits am Freitag. So ist das Material nicht am Nachmittag vor Ort. Höhere Gewalt. Der Aufbau am Samstagmorgen durch Missverständnisse nicht 100 % intakt. Der ein oder andere müht sich in der Interpretation des Roadbooks. So müssen zwei Bahnen aus der Wertung genommen werden. Passiert.Bei schon am Morgen brutaler Sonneneinstrahlung dann der Worstcase. Absprachen sind nur so haltbar wie der Charakter des gegenüber es zulässt. Es fehlt kaltes Bier. Aufregung, die Helfer springen ins Auto. Der Schaden kann nur minimiert werden. Eine Truhe wird schnell organisiert und die Getränke auf das Haus. Ehrensache.Es war ein Überlebenskampf. Die Hitze. Performanz und gute Scores waren dennoch möglich. Überraschenderweis und ein wenig unerklärlich, schiebt sich ein Newbie in die vorderen Ränge und sichert sich einen der einzigartigen Pokale. Ein Stück Eichenholz geschnitzt in der Form eines Schlägerkopfes und darauf versteinerte Baumscheiben, die Millionen Jahre alt sind. Eine Geste für den verstorbenen Großvater. Dick nicht aufhalten kann, zeigt der zweite Rang. And the Winner… Radomir. Tschechien. Eine helle Freude, dass er den Weg mit Michal auf sich genommen hat genauso wie Sekir aus Luxemburg, neue Freundschaften sind so entstanden.Bückeburg, ein Turnier im Norden danke für das zahlreiche erscheinen & es wird nicht das letzte gewesen sein. quintessence :blobfoxcofecute:(TLDR: Thoughts on trauma with a relevant open question at the end.)I wanted to take a moment and talk about trauma responses and how we, as people, try to get our needs met in a state of trauma. What happens when we try to create areas that are 1 ) not trauma inducing and 2 ) are trauma informed while still experiencing trauma?Trauma, in general:When we're in a traumatic situation, we learn a lot of maladaptive responses. By that I mean we learn things that help us push through and/or survive the situation, but that damage healthy relationships. This is one of the earlier things that people in trauma recovery learn: "Let go of what no longer serves you."Examples of things like this: it is common an abusive relationship to be told to Document Everything. Paper trails, possible camera recordings, etc. to keep yourself safe. BUT! When you transition from "unsafe" to "safe", these same behaviors are typically really invasive to your new partner, even if they understand why you're doing what you're doing.Multiple spaces:One aspect of trauma recovery focuses on what happens when the traumatic event ends. You've left your abuser, you've started to having savings after a life of poverty, etc. The skills and processing that happens here is different from enduring the trauma while it is still happening.I think about this a lot, and heavily, at Nivenly :nivenly: (and it's projects, like Hachyderm :hachyderm: ) and others. When times are hard. When people do things that are harmful, but to be clear not to the degree of harmful that there's no path back to community and back to working together. Communities working together, pooling resources, and supporting each other. While spreading information about community support, and raising awareness, is very important (and most of what social media is, when communities and social media overlap), doing work in your communities is important for them to survive.What work will depend on what the community is doing and what skills the members of the community can provide and need to source. Maybe the community is a literal garden, and it needs to be watered, weeded, and harvested. If the community garden only has people who spread the word there's a garden, but not people who plant, water, weed, and harvest, then there will soon be no garden.Abstracting this out, when times take a turn for the worse, it is important to remember to prioritize your communities. Communities are how we survive hardship and thrive in abundance. Community action, moreso than individual action, is how we support each other, ourselves, and create change. Prioritizing our communities can feel like a recipe for burnout, especially when a rapidly increasing number of us are feeling resource constrained for an ever increasing number of reasons. The strongest communities are built by those who know what activities nourish their souls and support their communities by doing those activities. Perhaps it nourishes your soul to volunteer at your local soup kitchen. Perhaps it nourishes your soul to provide snacks and water at your local protests. As an overly specific example, I have a friend who specializes in data and supports her local community's homeless services by ensuring that services are being provided in areas that reach where the homeless population is currently distributed.The point is: know yourself.
