Wow, the Highland Trail 550 sounds like a pretty tough bike race. You can reread the drama in the race report. But in short what happened: Last years womens winner Kerry MacPhee got her bike washed away when crossing a river. She had to scratch and the bike was found downstream the next day. 😮‍💨

There's also an endorsement of Coros' new bike computer as kept working throughout the bike being in the river.

Riding in and around Seattle has its...moments.

Don't start me on the "parking protected bike lanes," like the one I was riding in when a dude in a 4Runner turned right into my rib cage last year (two bruised ribs and torn intercostal muscles, I'm mostly fine now).

That said, I love some aspects, like this: The Aurora Plunge. I hope the pitch comes through in these stills from my GoPro today, it's a steep mofo.

I was first planning to go for an exploration ride today but my morning gravel session turned into the same thing as yesterday 🤔😀.
Elevation Gain Game with a bit more: 46,5km and 710m EG.
I'm looking for the mountains in this flat country!!! 🏔️

I went to drop off my bike and wheels for tune-up and wheel replacement at Landry's Braintree. The service department is so backed up (it's spring time) that I couldn't get my bike back until memorial Day. So they put me in to drop off the bike again on the 22nd so I can ride before then, but I left the new wheelset with them. I probably should've called them beforehand .....
