First time I developed a film myself; then handprinted the negative myself too. There was no digital intervention in the process (until now, here).

Ingredients: an expired film of Adox CHS 100, a party point-and-shoot camera, Bellini Eco developer & Eco Zonefix for the film, Ilford Multigrade paper — and the chemicals from my communal darkroom for the print.

I also made some 'neat' prints during the latest communal darkroom sesh.

This is the same Brazilian/Cape Verdian block party as before, but now on paper.

I'm totally a beginner and this was the first time I tried dodging. I wanted to highlight the capoeira performer in white — and, I guess, kinda succeeded.

(There's also an attempt where the dancer was too underexposed and turned into a ghostly spirit, lol. Maybe it's his orixá shining through?)

I'm more comfortable using digital editing tools when I also know how to achieve the effects in real life.

Reverse learning, kinda. My first experience in photo editing was Adobe Photoshop.
