There was a Pipe Mania clone I played in the early 2000s on one of those "1001 games for your home computer" type CDs (it also contained the text adventure Humbug and the Hugo Trilogy) I have no idea what it was called or how to find it but it had cool visuals and some levels had bonus toilets and stuff. I checked out actual Pipe Mania and while this is a similar game, it's just not quite the same.</p>

CONFIG.SYS: LOADHIGH<p>Dragonsphere is a forgotten <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/DOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DOS</span></a> adventure. Undeservedly imo, I enjoyed it a lot.</p><p>One of MicroProse's attempts to compete with Sierra and LucasArts (as openly detailed in the manual), with nice art and music, but which never received a sequel unfortunately.</p><p>Especially so because it leaves you with a clear indication that not everything is "happily ever after" in this fantasy world.</p><p>You can get it for free on GOG. Do play it with some good MIDI (emulation), some FM renditions are a bit rough.</p>

Fenix<p>If a USB memory stick is offered before the PC boots up, the stick will be available as a drive after startup. So the USB problem is solved for now. Fenix<p>My old HP Compaq NC6120 stopped working with Linux AntiX. The last boot crashed. It is an very old one from 2007 with all the nice interfaces such as a parallel printer printer port, RS232 serial port, VGA port, 3x USB and a DVD-writer. It is a real electronics tech machine.</p><p>I installed FreeDos 1.4. No network and USB support yet.
