So, as someone who loves the #Pokemon #Eevee , I sure haven't spoken too much about it.

A point of contention that comes up frequently with me and the wife.
"What is Eevee?"
I mean, is it a Dog? A Cat? A Rabbit? A Fox?!

Typically. I default to the answer that Eevee is Eevee. A precious little bean that needs protecting.

Part of the joy of Eevee is that they essentially embody an idea of childhood potential, Eevee can become all kinds of things depending on conditions around them. Sure, half of them involve shoving a rock in their face.

Every time there is a new generation, I am eagerly waiting in the wings for new Eeveelutions (Best portmanteau), and as I assemble my non-mainstream brand building block Eevees, I'll do a little write up on them, my thoughts and feelings about their design and maybe a little on the stats and functionality... At least through my eyes, I am not into the Pokemon Meta, and I am sure what I say about their battle potential can easily be refuted.

So, #PokémonGO currently has an #Eevee #CommunityDay event running till the end of the week, where can get a legacy move on your Eeveelution if you evolve your Eevee during this event.
I still had/have a couple of costume variations to unlock with their special moves, including #Umbreon with a winter hat, and with Sakura flowers.
Except, Umbreon requires night time to evolve. No problem, you might think, just wait till it gets dark, right? However, #PokemonGO uses sundown times for your location to determine whether or not it is nighttime, and since I live above the Arctic Circle, that means the sun doesn't actually set during summer... So, it never turns night in-game either atm.
During one of the previous events they had a workaround where they temporarily set fixed day/night times, however, support confirmed that this wasn't the case this time. Probably because there's now an 'Adventure Effect' called Moongeist Beam you could use to simulate night time effects, which I never managed to get.

Just noticed however that as the game loads, it has a brief period where it defaults to night time before your local map has loaded in. So, if you are quick enough, you can get to your buddy screen and evolve into Umbreon from there. 😂
