This is Psychrolutes marcidus, otherwise known as the ugly blobfish. It’s forever cruel that we pull this lovely fish up from the deep, slowly murder it with rapid decompression to the point its soft tissue becomes gelatinous, and then call it names, while running it into extinction.

If we’d get pulled down to their depths, we’d be dead and blobby too.
