#DogFooding; a #software #development method. Requires every project participant to use the product. The point is to stimulate empathy, while processing fellow user's issue tickets.

..unless you're contributing to #mpv media player; #Christian #Dogmatism dictates, YOU'RE the GOOD guy(s), everyone else is un-Christian, and un-good/evil. You just keep harassing every user of your #OpenSource #FLOSS #APP, by ridiculing their #Culture, when they want to manually OPT-OUT of the #Santa hat shit! 🎅💩🧐

New app review on my website!

Aegis Authenticator
★★★★★

A well-designed 2FA app for Android that lets you organize accounts into groups, can use a password or fingerprint to add another layer of security to your codes, and can easily import from several apps including Google Authenticator.

Bubbles completely fill the frame, the left side dark green and the right side bright yellowish-green. The boundaries between bubbles are the opposite: bright against the dark background, dark against the light one, though if you look carefully, they're the same medium colors against both.

I have a question for the #fedi #floss #BSD hivemind:

I have a friend who is a crusty old sysadmin frustrated with Failbook and the rest who I think would LOVE the Fediverse.

I days past I'd have recommended @fosstodon but I know they're facing capacity issues.

Can anyone recommend a good ideally UNIX (BSD, Linux?) or FLOSS oriented instance I can point him at?

He's not as much of a retrocomputing maven as I am so oldbytes isn't a good fit IMO :)

Thanks!

I know *why* people add a dock to Gnome--because they're used to an like a tray of their most-used and currently-on apps--but the default Gnome dash is so ~elegant~.

One button. ONE button! And you have access to your most-used programs, your desktops, and your system search. It's *genius*, and I love it, and I will never ruin it with a dock.
