We're off camping for a week starting Saturday, although it will be more like glamping as we're bringing a bell tent and loads of comforts. It will be the first time our dog is going camping so hopefully he behaves himself. I'm very much looking forward to a week of digital detox. Will turn off my phone and only use my Kindle (and even that one sparingly). There will be lots of walks, and lots of just sitting around enjoying nature. I can't wait!

Firstly, when I was young it was just called "camping" and not "wild camping" but secondly it's called "wild camping" now because things change, terms are updated, and context shifts.

#Camping is a broader term and can cover the more well-provisioned stays in larger tents in sites and #glamping. #WildCamping is used to differentiate a camp outside an official site or area, is all.

We've notched up our #tent level. Long an owner of one and two person tents, enjoyed in summer & winter, we noticed this year that the ground is harder than it used to be, and further down to get to it.

So we're #glamping up the equipment a bit, as we'll prob do more car camping than canoe/backpacking going forward.

So got a big 6pers tent and a couple of lightweight cots. It's hot as hell in there in the sun just now, but that shouldn't be a problem in shady camping spots.
