NEVER AGAIN?
Israel plans to confine Gaza residents in a closed concentration camp atop Rafah ruins, as the genocide continues. Defense Minister Israel Katz is calling it a "humanitarian zone," but it is a de facto concentration camp. Internees will not have freedom of movement or the ability to leave. They will be forced to move there, whether they want to, or not. Living conditions will be deplorable.
As a side note, for anyone unfamiliar with the slogan, “Never Again,” it was chanted by prisoners as they were liberated from Buchenwald at the end of World War II. It was used by Jewish Defense League founder Meir Kahane in his 1971 book, Never Again! A Program for Survival. It is a slogan often repeated by Jews, though there has been disagreement about whether it applied just to Jews and antisemitism, or whether it was a more universal slogan, meant to oppose all forms of fascism and genocide. The slogan originated from the 1927 poem, Masada, by Yitzhak Lamdan, about the siege of Masada, when the Sicarii (Jewish assassins who target Roman leaders and Jewish collaborators) were captured and chose to commit mass suicide rather than be captured.
