Ungefähr so argumentiert "die" (nicht meine) Bundesregierung, wenn es um die elektronische Patientenakte (ePA) geht. Kürzlich habe ich über einen potentiellen "Nutzen" der ePA geschrieben. Jetzt hat sich doch die Bundestagsfraktion „Die Linke“ erfrecht, eine kleine Anfrage zur ePA zu stellen. Die Antworten der Bundesregierung übertreffen noch die schlimmsten Erwartungen der Kritiker. Christoph Schmees<p>Datenleck durch E-Mail — einmal mit Profis!</p><p>Au weia. Gut, wir sind alles Menschen und machen menschliche Fehler. Aber in einem Unternehmen, das sich dem Schutz vor Betrug verschrieben hat, erwarte ich, dass technische Vorkehrungen einen solchen Fehler verhindern. Das britische gemeinnützige Unternehmen Cifas hatte, offenbar manuell, eine Einladung zu einem Meeting per E-Mail versandt. In der Mail waren mehr als ein Dutzend Adressaten im "An:" Feld und weitere 45 im "CC:" Feld im Klartext zu bewundern. Auaa! Erstens, solche Massensendungen gehören über das "BCC:" (Blindkopie) Feld adressiert. Christoph Schmees<p>Politik und Datenschutz (= Schutz von Personen)</p><p>"Die" Politik (nicht meine) führt gerade vor, weshalb ich sehr zögerlich bin, den Behörden Informationen über mich zu geben. Selbst wenn die Daten technisch sicher geschützt wären (Irrealis), sind sie doch der {Dummheit | Willkür} von unfähigen Politikern ausgesetzt. Wer das Afghanistan-Debakel mitbekommen hat, weiß um die so genannten Ortskräfte. Das sind Einheimische, die den deutschen und anderen westlichen Truppen vor Ort geholfen haben. Christoph Schmees<p>Kabel vertauscht: Die Falschen angeschuldigt</p><p>Das hätte auch in <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/Neuland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Neuland</span></a> passieren können; hier kenne ich ähnliche Fälle. Allerdings hatte keine der mir bekannten Vertauschungen ähnlich dramatische Konsequenzen wie die auf der britischen Insel. Dort, genauer in Wales, führte die Vertauschung von zwei Leitungen dazu, dass drei völlig unschuldige Personen und ihre Familien fälschlich wegen Kindesmissbrauch verfolgt wurden. Die britische Polizei darf in ihrem Zuständigkeitsbereich IP-Adressen überwachen, von denen bekannt ist, dass darüber Bilder von Kindesmissbrauch geteilt werden. Zuletzt hatte ich über die amerikanische Firma Clearview geschrieben, die illegal Fotos aus antisozialen Netzwerken abgeschöpft hat (oder noch abschöpft). Deshalb wurde von der niederländischen Datenschutzbehörde eine Strafe verhängt. Auch die britische Datenschutzbehörde ICO will deswegen eine Strafe verhängen; noch läuft darüber ein Rechtsstreit durch die Instanzen. Christoph Schmees<p>Datenleck bei Discord</p><p>Discord ist eine Kommunikations-Plattform, die bei Normalmenschen wenig bekannt sein dürfte. Einen Einstieg bietet Wikipedia, ausführlicher in der englischen Fassung. Seit Discord vor zehn Jahren gegründet wurde, hat es einiges an Missbrauch erlebt und einige Kritik auf sich gezogen. Als Reaktion darauf wurden verschiedene Regeln eingeführt und Maßnahmen getroffen. Eine der Maßnahmen ist eine Identifikation durch Lichtbildausweise, vielleicht zur Bestätigung des Alters. Diese Identifikation hat Discord zu einem ungenannten Drittanbieter ausgelagert (Outsourcing).
