@Willy_Wuff @heiseonline Nur Unternehmen? Nee nee, auch #Universitäten z.B. die in #Augsburg. Die grossmütig jede:n Studierende:n mit nem MicrosoftOffice-Account ausstattet und für Gruppenarbeiten aktiv zur Nutzung desselben auffordert.
Die Uni Augsburg hat by the way eine Fakultät für #Informatik und darüber hinaus selbstverständlich eine eigene IT-Abteilung mit recht grossem Rechenzentrum. Das #Knowhow wär' eigentlich da, um das auch anders aufziehen zu können.

@bones0 don't get me wrong, just collectively #thinking loud, the #alternative a #China #dictatorship is also no #alternative, but actually #China played it's card very well, extracting all #knowhow from #greedy #western #companies of #democracy countries, copying them, doing the same cheaper, winning #competition game (#greed -> #stupidity = bad)

imho #key is in how #money is created and what is then used for

#China got loads of #public banks, how many does #UK + #USA + #Canada have? Zero?

@theregister I can't follow. The risks did not change that much with #Trump. 🤔

Dependency to the #cloud was a bad move in many cases already before. It wasn't about risks, it was about prioritizing money as long as #outsourcing was cheaper. Now, companies often aren't in a position to self-host any more because we've lost #knowhow or resources.

You can blame many things on Trump but not this.

Oh, ich bin mir sicher, dass sie das möchte. Allerdings wird sie genauso wie in der #EU allgemein vor den notwendigen teuren und sehr langfristigen Maßnahmen wieder zurückschrecken - wie immer, wenn's d'rauf ankommt. 😔

Nennt mir bitte ein Gegenbeispiel, wo wir unserer verlorene digitale Eigenständigkeit wesentlich(!) zurückerlangt haben. 🤔

Dabei wäre es soooo wichtig für sehr viele kommende Generationen. Wir verlieren schon seit zu vielen Jahren massiv #KnowHow durch #Outsourcing, #Cloud, usw..
