When you spend $1 on ChatGPT, both OpenAI and Microsoft count it as AI revenue. Suddenly, 1 + 0 = ~2.
OpenAI is by far the biggest source of AI revenue in Microsoft's earnings. A projection by The Information recently projected that slice to be $10B in 2025, out of $13B total AI revenue for MS.
The fun part is, #OpenAI will say this is AI revenue for them. And when they in turn purchase the Azure resources needed to run ChatGPT, it becomes AI revenue for #Microsoft. And so the AI market grows.
