I’m using mutt so need to ask this before updating readme.
This what I have for mutt:

This is what I presume would be correct for aerc (in ~/.config/aerc/binds.conf):

Does that look about right?
This is along the lines clone of viewhtmlmail (popular among #mutt users).

@SecurityWriter I don't defend this, nor anything else that @MastodonEngineering / #Mastodon #devs do, including stifling and sabotaging the need for good moderation tools.
- In return I think that the arguments pushed against the #Fediverse by (alleged) #TechIlliterates are not worth entertaining, cuz the same folks would also dismiss any alternative to #GMail cuz they'd have to 'choose a Server'....
If we can't expect #users to make informed decisions, then maybe they should not be allowed to use tech.
- Sorry for me #venting, but noone would dismiss #eMail because #mutt is not a beginner-friendly eMail client for folks that can't even use a goddamn mouse, as so many #Zoomers these days do.
I gladly teach people tech but most don't want to learn or even follow through on suggestions, advice and take explanaitions to their answers, and at a certain point that's just tiring...

Is anyone else using Ghostty with Neomutt?
They don't seem to play nicely together, but maybe there's something I can do to address this?
I'm doing a small thingie to help out mutt with email using Zig. It's something i was going to do in any possible situation, so thought to spice it up like this. It's of scale that i can fully finish it and never look back zig again if i don't want to, and large enough so that i know if the language makes sense at all.
It's a bit similar case as lsiommu, i.e. scripts that have been making my life worse for over 10 years and now I'm "reimagining" them ;-)
This way I get those wiped away from my backlog and learn something new in the process.

Gibt es ein #Thunderbird Plugin bei dem man analog zu "T" bei #mutt per Regex Nachrichten markieren kann?
For a brief moment in time, #mutt was the perfect #email program for me, I had it configured just right, it really took email work off my hands. I tried it again many years ago, maybe with mutt-ng, but I remember configuring it was a nightmare, especially with several #IMAP servers, using different #SMTP.s for different accounts, automatically detecting and switching sender addresses, etc.
Any chance anyone has a suggestion how I should approach this to substitute Thunderbird at least partly?

Auch #Neuhier ist Mattheo, seinerseits Corgi-Mischling mit Tendenz zum sturen Dackelkopf. Er ist seit dem 12.12.2020 ein festes Familienmitglied und auch, wenn wir dank seines gut ausgeprägten Selbstbewusstseins ausreichend öfter mal nett disputieren ( ja vllt hat er einen Napoelon-Komplex), will ich ihn keine Sekunde missen. Er ist ein wirklich liebevoller, empathischer, menschenliebender Kerl, der seine Meinung vertritt und eine der facettenreichsten Mimiken hat, die ich je bei einem Hund gesehen habe 
Matze hat ein Löwenherz und Löwenhunger, einer seiner Spitznamen deshalb: Honigdachs. Schnell stellte sich heraus, dass er am liebsten Futter bekommt ohne sich dafür groß bewegen zu müssen. Rumstehen und dabei in die Kamera schauen, ist somit voll sein Ding - supermodel from day one

For me, nothing allows me to process email better than #emacs. #mutt came close. The primary function of email is writing and editing, nothing does that better than my editor.
Including, documenting and opening those emails is as easy as it gets.
I don't need to open some cumbersome GUI app that will make me use my mouse, just to read an email.
Every time I read my email with #mutt it's a reminder of how bad the interfaces for Outlook or the myriad smart phone apps are.
Email is a powerful medium and mechanism for comms and mutt is a perfect companion :)

@knud Ich habe die E-Mail auch bekommen, weil ich noch eine alte Mini-Website bei #HostEurope habe, zu der auch eine IMAP-Mailbox gehört. Als erste Maßnahme habe ich alle E-Mails aus vom IMAP-Server auf meinen Laptop verschoben. Mit #Mutt ist das kein Problem.
Meine wichtigen E-Mails habe ich seit einigen Jahren bei @mailbox_org – das funktioniert auch mit eigenen Domains. Ich nutze da die automatische Verschlüsselung eintreffender E-Mails mit meinem PGP-Schlüssel.
Posteo soll auch OK sein.
Other #mutt users - how do you deal with long URLs received? - like in the 'confirm your address' type of mails from companies.
I tend to run mutt under an ssh rather than on my desktop, sometimes piping a mail into w3m or similar and then if I needed a URL locally I'd copy/paste - but now the embedded URLs are *HUGE* - many hundreds of characters.
Ideas?
Bin gerade sooo zufrieden. #Dovecot ist auf #FreeBSD nun so konfiguriert, dass ich weiterhin #mutt und #procmail wie gewohnt nutzen kann und parallel dazu, ohne Konflikte, #IMAP Clients wie #K9Mail und #Thunderbird.
Nicht, dass ich mit #mutt unzufrieden wäre: Aber gerade am Smartphone ist #K9Mail schon praktischer als mit #connectbot via ssh #mutt zu bedienen.
Und manche Emails sind - leider - mit Thunderbird besser zu handhaben, z.B. solche mit Bestätigungs-URLs mit > 512 Zeichen.

@Cyb3rrunn3r Ich bin ja der Meinung, dass HTML in E-Mails nichts verloren hat, und nutze unverdrossen #Mutt.
Gut möglich, dass @servo heute schon gut genug ist, um in @thunderbird #Gecko abzulösen. Jedenfalls spricht die Servo-Website v.a. über solche Szenarien.

Obecněji:
Proč, hadry cucky, tisíce lidí tvoří interfejsy, 'gui' a prý ještě 'user experience design' (také UX design, UXD, UED nebo XD)... Já si prostě chci nastavit jednou, jak se mi zobrazuje "prostý text", a jednou, jak se mi zobrazuje "html" a ne že každá tzv. "aplikace" mi bude vymýšlet, jak oni to umějí udělat krásněji.
Takže na své cestě k asi nedostižnému ideálnímu pracovnímu prostředí asi mám opustit krátkou zastávku u #thunderbird a jít k nějakému základnějšímu přijímání a čtení mejlů. #mutt ? #emacs ? Ještě tak mít neomezeně sil pro vzdor vůči pohybu stáda směrem, kam nechci jít.
Hledám spřízněné duše. Hledám místa vzdoru.
