The Cathedral of Málaga, locally known as 'La Manquita' or 'The One-Armed Lady', was never completed. Its second tower remains unfinished due to redirected funding in the 18th century. The Dugald Stewart Monument is a memorial to the Scottish philosopher Dugald Stewart. It is situated on Calton Hill overlooking the city of Edinburgh and was designed by Scottish architect William Henry Playfair.

The Oudemanhuispoort courtyard is a hidden gem in the city center. Tucked between Kloveniersburgwal and Oudezijds Achterburgwal, it’s part of a 17th-century complex originally built as a shelter for the elderly. Now owned by the University of Amsterdam, it hosts the Faculty of Humanities and student housing.

The courtyard is accessed through a covered passage known for its secondhand book market. Midway, a door opens to the quiet garden with benches, a lawn, and rose bushes… A calm escape in the heart of the city.

In the middle of the city’s ‘Red Light District’ stands the “Oude Kerk”, the city’s oldest building, founded in

. Its vast wooden ceiling, gives the Gothic interior a unique atmosphere.

The church shifted from Catholic to Protestant after the

Reformation. Many locals were buried here, including some prominent figures, like Saskia van Uylenburgh, Rembrandt’s wife.

Now a cultural venue, it hosts exhibitions, concerts & art. Though no longer used for services, its historic soul remains alive at the Oudekerksplein.

The houseboat “Rumah Saya” is a motor tjalk located at the intersection of Keizersgracht and Amstel. This historic vessel, built in 1893, measures approximately 16.7 meters in length and 3.7 meters in width.

In Indonesian, rumah saya literally means “my house” (rumah = house, saya = I/my). In Malay, it has the same meaning.

The houseboat is situated in a prime location, close to the “National Opera”, “Koninklijk Theater Carré”, “Museum De Hermitage”, and the “Magere Brug”.
