#Pachli Current users - as ever, thanks for testing. Today's release modifies the code that figures out where you're going when you open Pachli, and which account to use. This clears up some technical debt and paves the way for an "Account management" screen, coming soon.

If you use multiple accounts you'll notice the splash screen appears when you switch accounts so the UI doesn't flicker as the new account data is loaded.

Everything else should behave the same. Please shout if it doesn't.

hachyderm.io という、テック周りで結構有名な方のアカウントがある サーバー（自分がメインで使ってる Web クライアントの #PhanpySocial の公式アカウントもこのサーバーにある）を運営してる The Nivenly Foundation というところが開発してるクライアントっぽい。
これも試してないけど、 #Tasky が好きな人なら気に入るはずだよみたいな説明がついてるからそういうシンプルめのクライアントっぽい雰囲気

Testing #Pachli Current new Alt-Text entry layout

#Pachli Current is rolling out the new media description UI for feedback.

Since the last screenshot some of the padding has been tightened up and the colours toned down a little. The image size adjusts to the device size to leave enough room for writing the caption.

Also, some servers report the actual max number of characters you can put in the description. If it's available that's now used, instead of being fixed to 1,500.

Feedback (after you've tried it in Pachli Current) welcomed.

It's been a rainy day in Zurich, so I had a free hour to prototype some changes to how media is attached to posts in #Pachli.

What do we think?

I use Pachli for Mastodon on my phone. There is a menu option for lists. However, I've only been able to view one of the several lists I've created (created via using Mastodon on Firefox on a laptop). Does anyone know how I can access the other lists I've created?

While I'm waiting for #Pachli 2.12.0 to go through the Google review process I'm working on a significant quality-of-life improvement.

If you follow a moderately popular account you've probably seen the following situation.

1. They post something popular.
2. You see it on your timeline.
3. For the next 48 hours other people you follow boost it, which means it keeps spamming your timeline.

No fault of the original author, or the people boosting it, this is just how Mastodon works.

Can I post **markdown** code in *Pachli* now?

Would be nice to have in #Pachli: grouping of like/boost notifications.

It is hard to find notifications for one post when the other one gets popular. Especially when only small amount of entries fit on a screen.

Thanks to the person who recommended the Android Mastodon client Pachli a few days ago. I like it a lot and it has some features that made me switch.

1. Im old enough to appreciate the slider for post text size (presbyopia)
2. The wellbeing screen I often find it hard to resist to check my phone if there is one of these red bubble icons with "x!" new notifications for new messages, likes etc popping up. Notifications are disrupting, they can subconsciously cause a feeling of missing something, which can lead to stress and addiction to the instant gratification. It's how social media and "likes" work and how we've been trained involuntarily.

This setting allows it to hide these stats. I no longer see how many boosts or likes a post gets (of course I still appreciate likes and boosts - I just don't have to quantify them). And it's it's deliberating. I highly recommend to give it a try if you can relate.

Nie chce mi się sprawdzać kto robił polskie tłumaczenie do #Pachli ale jest zrobione źle.

Angielskie tłumaczenie używa formy "XYZ polubił Twego posta" dzięki czemu widać od kogo to. Nieważne jaki rozmiar fonta i ekranu.

Polskie tłumaczenie używa "polubienie Twego posta of XYZ" co ukrywa autorstwo przy większych fontach lub krótszych ekranach.

Trzeba będzie chyba wysłać poprawki. Ale to nie dzisiaj.
