I don't manage a lot of infrastructure on the #Internet, but I manage quite a bit, and I am almost finished with #blocking the entire #UK over #OSA. I have no choice. The way the #law is written anyone who doesn't (and I don't believe in age-verification services as I find them a privacy mine field and nightmare) runs the #risk of an 18 million pound fine.

If you have a server on the Internet you are a fool for not blocking all UK #traffic.

Fundamental societal change of any kind requires direct action, even small, individual ones, that include some measure of risk or sacrifice.

At least as important as politics, and a larger existential threat to our species, is our deteriorating climate.

This is an example of risk and sacrifice in service of one's beliefs that we can all use as a model for helping to affect positive changes for the benefit of all.

Andor is about the personal risks and sacrifices that just a chance of building a successful resistance requires, and based on history. The company has targeted a range of critics, and of course the media, on the grounds that any negative publicity will incite further violence. Note that there is zero effort to address the underlying root cause of our lack of trust in health insurers. The close to monopoly power wielded and deployed here is another fascinating aspect. I've long argued that reputational risk and societal trust are not the same thing, and, when one considers underlying intent, they are in some ways deployed as opposites. Reputational risk management is a defensive operation against the threats posed by stakeholder perceptions.
