Es ist allerdings nicht selbstlos: Australien gewährt künftig jährlich 280 Menschen aus dem vom #Klimawandel bedrohten Inselstaat Tuvalu ein #Sondervisum. Die #Klimaflüchtlinge erhalten dauerhaftes #Aufenthaltsrecht. Im Gegenzug verpflichtet sich Tuvalu, sicherheitsrelevante Entscheidungen mit Australien abzustimmen, um den wachsenden Einfluss #Chinas im #Südpazifik zu begrenzen.
