Lokjo.com is my project. It's a map which shows you all shops on a map (f.e. 'clothing' ), excluding corporations.

I started it 6 years ago when I noticed a lot of friends lost their shop due to google 'hiding' them under big shops or their physical shops being replaced by luxury locations.

I hope people will find them better now and give them a try.

I've finally opend up a donation page in the hopes it can grow more.

Thanks!

LiberapayLokjo's profile - LiberapayLokjo aims to be the first fully european replacement for googlemaps. After 20 years of internet and thousands of IT companies there is still no competitor, so I thought to …

Well, camping was a bust. We thought if we left early enough in the day yesterday, we could get a spot close to town. We ended up driving around the three hours, checking all our usual close favorites. Everything was full.

We gave up and came back home. We really have to get out there Thursday night, or everything is full.

We're up and moving around. Headed for one of the pop-up markets downtown.

Weekend read, taking a brief break from Kurkov's Jimi Hendrix Live in Lviv (enjoying it very much), to sneak in a weekend mystery read - Kate Atkinson's Case Histories, pub 2004.
It has extremely good reviews.

Current world condition has me in the mood for the bad guys getting their just desserts, so fingers crossed.

Not to go on about the cold (even though I am), it was so chilly this morning when I dropped Kid3 at work that the car put a little snowflake next to the temp to make sure we knew!

Officially it's actually colder, but that's at the airport, and here, we're a bit closer to the coast. I could go and check the thermometer outside but, well, it's cold and I would rather be inside! Got to go out to take Kid1 to work and Dad to the shops later so in the meantime, I'm cuddling a cup of tea, both dogs and a cat, and feeling very virtuous about the fact that I'm doing some freelance work so early in the morning*

*let's ignore that this is necessary only because the work is due on Monday and there's A Lot Left To Do; in very typical fashion, I am not doing anything ahead of time here
