Microsoft release preview of a new Link to Windows app for Android. It lets you do more from your phone including locking your PC, sending files to your PC, and mirroring your phone screen to a PC, as well as viewing PC status info. #Android #Windows #LinkToWindows #Microsoft https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2025/07/24/previewing-a-refreshed-link-to-windows-experience-for-android-phones/
Quick hint to those website #devs who can't afford or won't purchase additional hardware *just* to test in #Safari, the browser from one of the richest companies in the world (that also couldn't be bothered to compile it for other platforms!) </rant-almost-over-promise>

Just installed it today on my, "also too old to run #Windows" PC.
Now I can be validated that my genius solutions aren't that genius after all! And as a result, be a little more inclusive.

Brave now blocks Microsoft Recall by default on Windows 11+
Starting in version 1.81, Brave prevents Recall from capturing browser screenshots—protecting users from unintended tracking or data leaks
Brave is the first major browser to take this step, reinforcing its privacy-first stance
Windows market share in Germany drops to 69.78%, down nearly 10 points in a year
Meanwhile, macOS rises to 19.59%, driven by user demand for privacy & seamless integration
Linux more than doubles to 5.49%, reflecting growing interest in open-source, secure, and flexible systems

Microsoft discontinues M365 from the Store
Some Microsoft 365 users will soon be without updates: Anyone who obtains the apps from the store must now take action and reinstall them manually.
