Im Niedriglohnbericht der Bundesregierung von 2012 waren die angestellten Taxifahrer auf Platz 1, noch vor den Damen, die im Hotel die Zimmer reinigen und Betten machen.Als Selbstständiger im Familienbetrieb kann ich den niedrigen Stundenlohn ausgleichen durch mehr Arbeitsstunden (wie andere, die eine Kneipe oder einen Kiosk haben, auch). Die Möglichkeit haben angestellte TaxifahrerInnen nicht, für die gelten die Höchstarbeitszeiten aus dem Arbeitszeitgesetz (max. 10 Stunden am Tag, max. 48 Stunden pro Woche).Für die meisten ist deswegen Taxi ein Verkehrsmittel, das nur gelegentlich genutzt wird (im Gesetz werden wir auch als Gelegenheitsverkehr bezeichnet).
