Das Problem ist nicht, dass das Tier eine Mutation hat, sondern dass ihm eine Kopie des normalen Allels fehlt. Das Problem wird nicht dadurch gelöst, dass man die Mutation einfach „loswird“. Das Problem ist keine bösartige genetische Bombe im Genpool. Es ist das Fehlen der normalen Allele, die an ihrer Stelle sein sollten.
