It’s made by an indie developer but is extremely well polished and has all the features you could ever need. It’s NOT one of those alternative apps that does the job but is kinda shit. I would actually expect this level of quality for a paid app.
It doesn’t show any ads and doesn’t even request the internet permission. It runs extremely efficiently.
I’ve purchased the IAP simply as a way of supporting the developer, the app is that good and FREE. I seriously can’t recommend this app enough.

EDIT: In my experience, none of the other apps come close to the level of polish as this app. Specifically for your use case this app supports multiple queues that you can rename and switch between and never get deleted (unless you choose). I’ve never had any problems with it recognising the metadata. It supports lyrics too, even synced lyrics if you have those.
@mupan@digitalcourage.social@stifle867 Do you know of any plans of publishing the app on f-droid.org as well? Though you don't say it, your ad is distributed by @opensource so I guess it's an open source app and probably qualifies for F-Droid. Many open source lovers deny to use any Google accounts and services, and if the dev cares for them ...
