Ik had graag Delta/ZeelandNet gehouden, maar Delta vindt het niet de moeite waard om in mijn deel van het centrum van #<a class="" href="https://social.woefdram.nl/search?tag=Vlissingen" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Vlissingen</a> #<a class="" href="https://social.woefdram.nl/search?tag=glasvezel" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">glasvezel</a> aan te leggen. #<a class="" href="https://social.woefdram.nl/search?tag=KPN" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">KPN</a> heeft dat wel gedaan, maar daar wil ik natuurlijk geen abonnement van. Gelukkig levert #<a class="" href="https://social.woefdram.nl/search?tag=Freedom" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Freedom</a> ook, dus wordt het nu tijd om mijn #<a class="" href="https://social.woefdram.nl/search?tag=ADSL" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ADSL</a> van Freedom om te zetten naar glas en Delta vaarwel te zeggen. Toen ik een jaar of wat terug de helpdesk vroeg om een PTR-record, kreeg ik tot mijn verbazing te horen "sorry, wij ondersteunen geen DNS". Na enig doorvragen bleek een PTR-record niet mogelijk te zijn, "alleen voor grote glasvezelklanten", dus niet voor mijn ZeelandNet Zakelijk abonnementje. Log in bij Freedom en je ziet een pagina waar je gewoon zelf je PTR-records kunt instellen, zowel voor het IPv4-adres als de hele IPv6-prefix die je krijgt. En ja, dat zijn ook gewoon statische adressen; bij Delta moest ik daar een zakelijk abonnement afsluiten (en dat adres is onlangs toch spontaan veranderd...). Einde van een tijdperk. Het opzeggen van Delta wordt waarschijnlijk per mail of telefoon, want de website doet het niet. Ja, ik blokkeer allerlei trackers, en ben ook niet van plan om daar een uitzondering voor te maken.
