AutSo my departure from Poplar Grove (C77) was also a bit frazzling. Then I made the smartest decision I could and landed somewhere quiet to just sit in silence for an hour and reset.The departure itself wasn't bad. There was a lot of ground crew keeping things moving nicely but it was marginal out with 1500' ceilings. I wanted to depart IFR but it was very busy so I decided to make my first mistake of the departure: "I'll just get my clearance in the air".Well, I got in the air and got away from the pattern so I could get my clearance but I was low enough that the frequency I had didn't work. So I called Chicago with my cell phone, they gave me the number for Rockford. I called Rockford and they gave me a radio frequency since I was in the air and my reception wasn't great. Meanwhile I'm just doing 360s over fields while messing with all this. Once I get on frequency I try to call up but it is very busy and I get stepped on over and over and this isn't working.Here is where I made my good choice, I looked at my map, saw a nearby untowered field, and landed there to recollect myself. Beloit (44C) was a very cute airfield and it was nice to just sit in silence with the nice temperatures. I got my phone out, filed a new flight plan, and then just took the time to rest and recollect. Departure was extremely uneventful since I was the only aircraft around. I got my clearance over the phone from Rockford and then took off. I hit the clouds at 2500 and broke out at 3800.
