In 2017, #Orient_DAI and partners discovered a reed-and-bitumen boat buried in the sands outside #Uruk in modern-day Iraq.

Now, thanks to #OSL dating of sand grains inside, we know it sailed about 3,600 years ago!

#OSU’s Open Source Lab has a shortfall of funding ($250k) that if they don’t raise, means the lab will be shutdown.
