Giuseppe Bilotta<p>Yesterday was the last day of <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/SPHERIC2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SPHERIC2025</span></a>. Huge thanks to the local organizing committee for their hard (mostly behind the scenes) work, and all the <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/SPHERIC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SPHERIC</span></a> community for the enjoyable <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/conference" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>conference</span></a> and <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/unconference" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>unconference</span></a>. A special thanks goes to Corrado Altomare, chair of the local organizing committee, who delivered a touching speech on the role that <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/science" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>science</span></a> plays in uniting people beyond <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/borders" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>borders</span></a> and <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/conflicts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>conflicts</span></a>, a much needed beacon of hope in the current international outlook.</p>
