Santiago, né ? :amiga: 👾<p>So it seems sometimes when I reboot my <a href="https://gone.lema.org/tags/freebsd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreeBSD</span></a> Mac mini after a system update it just hangs there and I need to unplug and replug it. Thankfully I have an Athom plug on it running <a href="https://gone.lema.org/tags/tasmota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tasmota</span></a> so I can do this remotely.<br><br>In other news a few of my very secondary sites, now all in FreeBSD jails have been offline for a few hours. I should have a big red light somewhere in addition to all notifications I just can’t see.</p>
Multi Purr Puss :verified:<p>Edit: all questions answered, see thread below. 👀👉🧵</p><p>My 20+ year old (medium/washing machine sized) fridge sometimes spikes up to ~1 kilowatt. I'm sure compressors (the moving parts) are subject to wear - perhaps it's got a sticky bearing, or something.</p><p>Also, what's your wattage?<br>In 20+ years, there must've happened some fridge evolution.</p><p>Edit2: measured with Eighttree ET28 <a href="https://layer8.space/tags/Tasmota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tasmota</span></a> plug at "TelePeriod 10"(seconds)</p><p><a href="https://layer8.space/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a></p>
Jens N<p><a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/gitpod" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gitpod</span></a> is apparently going all-in on AI agents for software development. It's a pity, Gitpod used to be a very useful tool. I guess I'll have to go back to installing the ESP toolchain locally for compiling <a href="https://social.tchncs.de/tags/tasmota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tasmota</span></a> </p><p>OTOH, I never paid for it, since the free offering was always plenty for my use case, so I don't begrudge them wanting to cash in on the AI bubble before it collapses. They may be a tad late, though...</p>

Crazy-to-Bike<p>Im Juni habe ich <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Homeassistant" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Homeassistant</a> als <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Proxmox" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Proxmox</a> <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/VM" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#VM</a> aufgesetzt und nach und nach alle möglichen Geräte mittels <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/ModbusTCP" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ModbusTCP</a> (<a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Wechselrichter" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Wechselrichter</a>, <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Speicher" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Speicher</a>), <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/EVCC" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#EVCC</a> / <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/MQTT" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#MQTT</a> (<a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Wallbox" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Wallbox</a>), <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Tasmota" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Tasmota</a> (<a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Stromzöhler" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Stromzöhler</a>) und <a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Zigbee" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Zigbee</a> (<a href="https://fediworld.de/tags/Energiemessgeräte" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Energiemessgeräte</a><span>) integriert.

Markus G<p>A residual-current circuit breaker tripped in my home. I went through all circuits to find the reason, flipping the breakers one by one. Apparently, I did this in a sequence so that two <a href="https://mastodontech.de/tags/Tasmota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tasmota</span></a> devices got reset to factory settings. I found one plug quickly, the other one is used to monitor the power consumption of the freezer in the cellar. I noticed this two days later.
